The Best Dairy-Free Cheese Sauce!
I have found The Best Dairy-Free Cheese Sauce!
How many of us that have had to go dairy-free miss cheese? I am pretty sure all of us! Well, friends, I am about to make your day!
I can’t take credit for this recipe at all, but I have made some really awesome recipes with it. This cheese sauce is not only gluten and dairy-free but is 100% plant-based. I can take no credit at all for coming up with this recipe, it was created by Plantiful Kiki, head over and check her out. She is completely plant-based and follows The Starch Solution Diet, you can also find lots of her video’s on YouTube. I did The Starch Solution for a month or so but I have an iron deficiency so I added meat back to my diet since my levels had dropped.
Check out a couple of the recipes that I have made with this yummy cheese sauce:

The Best Dairy-Free Cheese Sauce!
So what’s in this cheese sauce?
- 3 cups peeled diced potato
- ½ cup diced carrots
- ½ cup raw cashews
- 4 tbsp nutritional yeast- I have made it without this and its still great!
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 ¼ tsp lemon juice
- 2-3 cups hot water
I don’t use the lemon juice in the recipe, I love it without and I usually don’t have a lemon on hand. One thing you will need is a high powered blender.
So all that you do is boil the potatoes and carrots in 3 cups of water. Then I add it all to my Vitamix and blend. Then I add the rest of the ingredients and blend again and you have yummy cheese sauce! I keep mine in the fridge for 1 week and add it to something I’m eating almost daily.

Give it a try and let me know how you used your dairy-free cheese sauce!

I have made a few cheese-subs and found that.adding a little orange mustard to your type.of sauce.gives a. Cheddar flavor to it. Or maybe I don’t remember the flavor that well.
