Grain Free Chocolate Mug Cake

I love a good mug cake but so many of them are too unhealthy for me so I wanted to create one that was a better for me snack, in comes my Grain Free Chocolate Mug Cake. This one is filled with protein from the flax seed and the egg. It’s very low on sugar and I only use maple syrup which is easier for the body to digest. Plus the banana is a great source of magnesium and potassium. All wins!

Let’s Bake my Grain Free Chocolate Mug Cake!

This is super easy.

Add everything but the banana and 1 TBSP of maple syrup in a glass ramekin, mix well.

Once completely combined microwave for 2 minutes. When it’s done remove it carefully, it will be hot.

All thats left to do is slice the banana and add it to the top of your mug cake. Pour the remaining maple syrup over the banana and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 2 TBSP Ground Flax Seed

  • 1 TBSP Tapioca Flour

  • 2 TBSP Cocoa powder

  • 1 egg

  • 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • 2 TBSP maple syrup

  • pinch of salt

  • 1 banana sliced

  • 1 TBSP unsweetened apple sauce

Directions

  • Add everything to your mug EXCEPT the banana and 1 TBSP of maple syrup and mix until combined.
  • Microwave for 2 minutes.
  • Slice your banana over your mug cake and pour the 1 TBSP of maple syrup left over the banana.
  • Enjoy!
