I have put together My Top 5 Gluten and dairy Free Thanksgiving Recipes for you. It can be difficult if you are new at eating gluten and dairy-free to find the best recipes for the holidays. It can be time consuming to go by trial and error as well as expensive! So I hope that this makes your Thanksgiving planning a lot easier.
Let’s start with one of the most important components of Thanksgiving….Gravy!
My Top 5 Gluten & Dairy-Free Thanksgiving Recipes
I have looked for store bought gluten-free gravy and I am convinced that its either super hard to find or it doesn’t exist. Well, last year, when I couldn’t find any I decided to come up with my own gravy recipe. And it’s so good! I make two batches of it so we have plenty for left overs. And no one knows that its plant based or gluten and dairy-free! Being plant based makes it perfect for vegans and vegetarians to who are often left out of many Thanksgiving dishes!
Green Bean Casserole
Green bean casserole is always a staple at our house for any holiday. It’s hard to find a dairy free version of green bean casserole but Paleo Running Mama has one, and its delicious, right down to her dairy free cream of mushroom soup! And let me say that no one noticed it was gluten and dairy-free! It’s so yummy! Check out Paleo Running Mama Green Bean Casserole, you wont be disappointed!

Let’s Talk Dessert!
I can’t narrow down what dessert recipe is the my favorite. I have a big sweet tooth so this is the fun part for me! I love to bake, it calms me. I typically make carrot cake, pecan pie, buckeyes and cookies for Thanksgiving. These are in no special order as far as my favorites, but, they are all equally delicious! Maybe I should have a post just for my favorite desserts? Let me know in the comments if thats something that you would like to see.
One of my favorite dessert go-to’s is Rhians Vegan Carrot Cake. This cake is so moist and delicious. My husband who can eat anything loves this. I am however not a huge fan of the frosting and am working on replacing that component of the cake. It doesn’t taste bad, just too much coconut for our liking.
My Top 5 Gluten & Dairy Free Thanksgiving Recipes
Another favorite go-to recipe is Paleo Running Mama’s Salted Caramel Pecan Pie. OMG! So good, you don’t even know it’s gluten and dairy-free! Everyone loved it! There wasn’t anything left to save, which made me so sad! Definitely a keeper!
We love chocolate in our family so my Chocolate Pie recipe is also included in our holiday celebrations! So yummy and satisfies that chocolate craving! This saves well in the fridge for up to 4 days. I used a pre-made pie crust from MI-DEL.
I hope that My Top 5 Gluten & Dairy Free Thanksgiving Recipes helps you plan for your Thanksgiving dinner. Please let me know in the comments if you tried any of them!
