Chocolate Banana Oat Mug Cake with Ice Cream!

I have been working on this Chocolate Banana Oat Mug Cake for a few weeks. I’ve been tweaking it so it’s perfect. And now it’s ready for you to try! I hope that you love it like I do.

It’s super easy to make and makes one serving. So it’s perfect when you are craving a small special something!

Let’s Make Cake!

It’s so easy, just add everything to your blender and blend until it is a smooth consistency.

Spray a ramekin with oil and add your batter to the ramekin. Microwave on high for 1 minute and 30 seconds.

When done, remove from the microwave and let it cool, careful it’s hot! When it’s cooled down turn the ramekin upside down on a plate to remove it. Let it rest and cool a little while we make the ice cream. Now we make ice cream…..

Let’s make ice cream!

Add one frozen banana, 1 Tablespoon of maple syrup, 1 Tablespoon of cocoa powder and 2 Tablespoons of almond milk to a blender. Blend until its thick and creamy. If it’s too thick add 1 Tablespoon of almond milk until it’s the desired consistency. Scoop the ice cream over your cake. It will melt over it and be so yummy!

You could also top your cake with gluten free sprinkles, nuts or chocolate chips!

Ingredients

  • 3 TBSP Oats

  • 1 heaping TBSP cocoa powder

  • 1/8 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp baking powder

  • 2 tsp maple syrup- or more if you have a sweet tooth

  • 2 tbsp almond milk

  • 1/3 cup of banana

  • ICE CREAM:

  • 1 frozen banana

  • 1 TBSP of cocoa powered

  • 2 TBSP almond milk

  • 1 TBSP maple syrup

Directions

  • Add everything to your blender. Blend until smooth.
  • Microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds.
  • Let the cake cool then turn the mug upside down and plate it. Let it cool while you make your ice cream.
  • For the ice cream add one frozen banana, 1 Tablespoon of maple syrup, 1 Tablespoon of cocoa powder and 2 Tablespoons of almond milk to a blender. Blend until its thick and creamy. If it’s too thick add 1 Tablespoon of almond milk until it’s the desired consistency. Scoop the ice cream over your cake. It will melt over it and be so yummy!
