Blue Smoothie Bowl- Kid Friendly!

Blue Smoothie Bowl- Kid Friendly!

Looking for something your kids will love to eat this summer that is healthy? My Blue Smoothie Bowl will be the thing they love and beg for!

The secret ingredient in this smoothie bowl that makes it blue is Organic Blue Spirulina Powder. Blue Spirulina has so many great health benefits. But on top of that, IT’S BLUE…your kids will love it, it’s so fun!

Blue Spirulina would also be amazing in dairy-free yogurt, vanilla frosting for a cake, and smoothies!

Let’s Make a Smoothie Bowl!

You will need a high-powered blender such as a Vitamix to make your smoothie bowl. Place two bananas in the blender, and let them defrost for about 5 minutes. Add the rest of your ingredients. Using your blender’s plunger start to push down the fruits helping them blend. This will take 1-2 minutes to get the right consistency you want for a smoothie bowl. I usually stop it twice to mix things up and then start the blender again.

Once it’s finished pour it into a Coconut Bowl and top with your favorite toppings.

Such as:

Coconut

Chia seeds

Crushed nuts

Peanut butter

Granola– I love this brand so much!

Honey- local honey is best

Maple syrup

Fresh fruit

Chocolate chips

Cocoa nibs

the list is endless!

Let your kids do their own toppings because kids tend to eat more of what they helped prepare!

Coconut Bowls

You may have noticed the bowl that I am using, isn’t it beautiful?! It’s a Coconut Bowl. I love them because they are the most sustainable bowls in the world! They are made from coconut shells that were going to be thrown away and destroyed. I also love them because no two bowls are the same, each one is special and different. Plus every month they donate 1% of their annual revenue to environmental organizations. Check them out and use coupon code GLUTENANDDAIRYFREELIFE to save!
