I love black beans, my favorite thing to eat is chicken, black beans, rice, and avocados. Have you ever noticed that you get bloated or gassy from beans? There is an easy fix to this, cooking them in the Instant Pot. There is an enzyme in black beans that is broken down in the Instant Pot thanks to the high heat, therefore less or no stinky gas.
Rince your dry beans and put two cups in the Instant Pot with 6 cups of water or stock. I use the chicken stock that I make in my Instant Pot from leftover chicken bones and the taste is awesome! Set your timer for 25 minutes and make sure the pressure release is sealed. When done release the steam and enjoy. I store mine in the fridge but you can also freeze them for when you are ready to eat them.

2 cups dry black beans
6 cups of water or chicken stock
1 tsp salt
red pepper flakes-optional
- Rinse your black beans and remove any beans that don’t look good. Add your beans to your Instant Pot and set for 25 minutes.
- When done release the steam and enjoy. The steam is very hot so don’t get near the release.
