Do you miss yummy cheesy queso since going dairy-free? Me too, so I created this yummy Queso to have with nachos, tacos, add to casseroles, use as a veggie dip, mac and cheese, and the list just goes on and on!
This is easy, just add all ingredients to a high powdered blender. Blend on high until it resembles Queso, taste, and add salt if needed.
If you don’t have a high powdered blender you can soak your nuts for 1-2 hours in hot water, then follow the recipe. The high powdered blender breaks down the cashews so you don’t have to soak them.
I used Trader Joe’s Chili Lime Seasoning Blend but if you don’t have a Trader Joe’s you can sub with any chili seasoning that you like.

1 cup raw cashews
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup macadamia nut milk
1/2 cup nutritional yeast
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp Trader Joe’s Chili Lime Seasoning Blend
red pepper flakes- optional
Salt to taste
- Add all ingredients to a high powdered blender– only a high powdered blender will work
- Blend on high until it resembles queso.
